Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
For people who really like to get away from it
all, the Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is the perfect place to
stay. The camp sites are reasonably priced and offer a modest amount of
privacy. Sleep in your own tent or your recreational vehicle. Comfort
stations are conveniently located throughout the resort. Don't have a tent
or RV? No problem! Disney has provided some very cozy cabins for you to
enjoy. With a full kitchen, separate bedroom and living room, and a private
deck with a grill, the cabins are a real bargain. The resort is spread out
over 700 acres. There are trails for biking and hiking. If you prefer an
easier way to get around, there are golf carts available to rent. Boat
service is provided to the Magic Kingdom, Wilderness Lodge and
Contemporary. Bus service is available to the other parks. Children and
adults will enjoy a visit to the petting zoo. Keep an eye out for
peacocks. These jewel colored birds wander freely around the resort
grounds. Horseback riding is a big hit with Fort Wilderness guests. With
so much to see and do at this resort you may never want to leave.
