Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort

From the moment you arrive on the grounds of the Wilderness Lodge Resort you'll have a difficult time believing that you are in Florida.  Towering bald cypress trees surround this mighty structure, themed after the Old Faithful Lodge in Yellowstone National Park.  The lobby is filled with handsomely carved totem poles and comfortable leather chairs.  Teepee chandeliers hang gracefully from the high ceiling.  But what will really draw your eye is the 80 foot tall stone fireplace.  Pull up a rocking chair and sit for a while.  Listen closely and you'll hear the sound of water.  Bubbling up from a corner of the lobby is a "natural spring" that flows outside to the pool at the bottom of the courtyard.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available at the food court or at the Whispering Canyon Cafe.  Feast on a meal fit for a king at the lovely Artist Point restaurant.  Boat service is available to the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary Resort and Ft. Wilderness Resort.  There is also a shaded walking path to Ft. Wilderness.  The Wilderness Lodge begs to be explored, inside and out.  Filled with cozy nooks, it is the perfect place to unwind after a long day in the parks.
